Halal Beef
Halal beef refers to beef that has been produced and processed in accordance with Islamic laws and principles. The word "halal" in Arabic means "permissible" or "lawful" under Islamic law, known as sharia. For beef to be considered halal, it must meet certain requirements and follow a specific slaughter and processing process and age of the beef.
We distribute halal beef according to the following standards:
Slaughter: The slaughter process must be carried out by a competent and pious Muslim, known as a "halal slaughterhouse" or "Islamic slaughterhouse." The animal must be sacrificed while mentioning the name of Allah and giving thanks for his provision. This is done to ensure that the animal dies humanely and with respect.
Healthy animal: The animal must be healthy and in good condition before slaughter. Any animal that is sick or has serious injuries is not suitable for halal slaughter.
Prohibitions: Halal meat must comply with Islamic dietary restrictions, which means that the consumption of pork or pork products, or animals that have died of natural causes, is not permitted.
Processing: After slaughter, the meat must be processed and handled by Muslims or under the supervision of Muslims to ensure that it remains halal at all times.
Labeling: Many halal food products carry a halal label or certification to indicate that they meet Islamic standards. These labels can be awarded by Islamic organizations or certification agencies.
It is important to note that halal meat is consumed by Muslims who follow Islamic dietary laws, but it can also be consumed by people of other religions who choose halal products for reasons of quality, taste, or personal preference.
All our calves are certified breeds, listed on our website, raised on nearby farms in Alt Empordá, Baix Empordá, Pla de L´Estany, La Selva, in the province of Girona, Vallés Occidental, in the province of Barcelona. and El Priorat, in the province of Tarragona. All of them with the Q quality certification and the Welfair Animal Welfare certification. Raised and fed according to the canons of these certifications and in some cases, cross breeds, in order to obtain meat with superior gastronomic quality standards.
We distribute our Halal products, for retail trade in Spain and wholesale trade for export to any country in the world, by land, sea or air transport, complying with all the customs specifications of each country and with the corresponding certificates that accredit both the content of our transportation such as quality or product-specific certification.
